PROFILE
I started calligraphy at the age of three,
encouraged by my mother.
I was worried about moving and thought I would have to give up calligraphy, but a teacher offered to teach me at her home, so I was able to continue.
After that, I entered the workforce and received instruction from various teachers, confronted myself through calligraphy, exhibited my work at exhibitions, and received many awards.
However, I now feel that calligraphy has value beyond receiving awards.
For me, calligraphy is a way to unify my mind and is self-expression itself.
I would like to further pursue my own expression and convey the beauty of Japanese culture to the world through calligraphy.
